Those long summer drives in the prairies

I'm so looking forward to those long drives in the prairies this summer.
For the endless blue skies & cotton clouds.
For the tan colored fields. For the yellow canola fields & all the lush green grass that seems to never end.

I love driving past the farms in the middle of nowhere & the barns so old, you wonder how they're still standing.
I love driving through those small towns & wondering who lives there & what keeps them there.

Sure, we don't have grand mountains or giant trees to see as we drive, but it's still so wonderful.
With the prairie sun shining down on your face, you might even get a sun burn on the window side of your face.
You have to keep those windows rolled down, arm stretch out & just listen that country music playing loudly.

Beauty isn't always found in the big & glamorous.
Beauty can be found in the simple things.
Beauty can be found in the humble things.
Beauty can be found in the prairies.
