Cityscape Photography in Bangkok.

### As a contrast, I would like to show you some photos of the city of Bangkok. These are some skyscrapers around the most popular shopping district called Rachaprasong. There are more than five big shopping malls, several five stars hotels such the Hyatt Erawan Hotel. The strap thing is that this area is also famous for having six Hindu shrines within walking distance. So, some people come from various parts of Bangkok to worship these Hindu gods and goddesses.

วันนี้เราอยากแสดงภาพตึกระฟ้าที่ใจกลางกรุงเทพมหานคร ย่านนี้มีประวัติศาสตร์ยาวนาน และเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยว และช็อปปิ้งที่มีระดับและต่อนข้างหรูมาก ย่านนี้เราเรียกว่าย่านราชประสงค์ซึ่งมีโรงแรมห้าดาวหลายแห่ง และมีห้างสรรพสินค้าขนาดใหญ่ และทันสมัยมากกว่าห้าแห่ง นอกจากนี้ ราชประสงค์ยังเป็นที่ตั้งของศาลของเทพแขกอย่างน้อยห้าแห่ง คนจึงเดินทางมาจากทุกทิศทาง เพื่อมาสักการะเทพเจ้าของฮินดูที่เขาเคารพนับถือ เราขึ้นไปอยู่ชั้นหกของ เกสรพล่าซ่า เพื่อไหว้เจ้าแม่รัศมี เพื่อความมงคลแก่ชีวิต เราจึงไดุ้่สยชไว้เป็นที่ระลึกหลายรูป

Though the city looks very modern and progressive, but you could say that people are still quite superstitious. They worship Hindu gods and goddesses for protection and good luck. Most people still believe in reincarnation, angels, fairies , ghosts and spirits. So, there is no conflict between material progress and spiritual realm!
