Living in Manhattan, you're always making compromises in terms of space. Many coffeeshops in the city are generally really small, limited seating, and no outlets. You get your coffee and get out.

Sometimes it's nice to get out of New York city and escape the crazy traffic. I decided to go to Brooklyn. I took the L train and got off Jefferson Street, walked for about 5 minutes and landed on AP Cafe.

I was amazed.

This cafe had the perfect blend between space, good wifi, outlets, outside lighting, and GOOD coffee. I was so surprised to see a cafe that could accommodate more than 5 people (significantly a lot more than 5) The overall atmosphere of the cafe was really good and I found myself in the cafe for about 6 hours straight. I got a small delicious cappuccino and if you're hungry they have a great food menu.

Brooklyn definitely had a hipster vibe to it and from time to time I really escaping the city to a more quiet, spacious neighborhood. It only took about 30 minutes from the city and definitely worth the travel. I would go again.

Pros

  • Outside lighting
  • Very spacious
  • Coffee
  • Wifi
  • Outlets

Cons

  • Not in the city (not the worse)
