The Dniester estuary, located on the territory of Odessa region in Ukraine. The word "estuary" is translated as "harbour" and the name of the Dniester estuary fully justified. Its length is about 40 kilometers on the territory of Ukraine, he takes the 4th place among the largest bodies of water. Deep-water estuary is, its average depth is about 1.2 meters.
The history of
Education of estuary occurred due to the fact that the Black sea level rose and moved towards the Dnieper. It happened about 2 thousand years ago. According to historians the earliest settlement in this area belonged to Greeks.
This region had another name – Biloberezhzhya, which gave him the Rosses. According to legend, this place was the burial known in Ancient Greece poet named Ovid. It was located near lake Kunduk. But, due to the construction of the Danube-Dnieper irrigation system it has been desalinated.
The Dniester Liman in the earlier period was called – Ovidio the lake. Currently, from the sea Liman is separated scythe of sand, which is called Bugaz. In this place are luxury resorts. To the sea, the estuary is associated Tsaregradskiy mouth. It in former times served as a Parking lot for ships.
Flora and fauna

It helps in treating many skin diseases and even help to cope with psoriasis. For this reason, on the coast of the estuary are a large number of sports centres and tourist bases, boarding houses for children, rest homes and sanatoriums. The most popular resort for treatment is the Carolina – Bugaz.
