Hubby got his once in a lifetime selfie with the gentle giants of Oslob. Located in a small barangay called Tan-awan, 10 km away from the center town of Oslob, south of Cebu.
Whale shark watching in Oslob started back in 2011 which became popular among tourists both local and foreigns all over the world when the news hit the internet.
Local fishermen feed them with tiny shrimps or krill which resulted to more and more whalesharks flocking the area.
Whalesharks are harmless but some rules need to be followed to avoid harming them.
These rules includes not touching, riding nor chasing the Whalesharks, not undertaking flash photography, and not using underwater motorized diver propulsions.
