It depends on where you go...Big cities -as in any country- clearly are dirty (Rome, Naples...), but not the smaller ones. I mean - to make a French comparison - just because Paris is dirty is doesn't mean Marseille or whole France are too ;)

I've been around, toured Itally, and I dunno, the south looks worse than Romania in many places, and I don't mean just Naples, that place is just disgusting. And it's a shame too, as it does have great potential for beauty!

I don't think you could have toured more than me haha but I'm not saying it's clean either haha, but not as dirty as you make it sound. Yeah, Naples is indeed so dirty that loses any beauty and that's so sad. And indeed, Romania was pretty clean wherever I've been! :D

No, probably not more than you, but I honestly did not like the south, too much 3rd wolrd influence drowning out the beautiful parts.
And I dunno where you've been in Romania, and I love my country, but it sure has problems.

To Romania, besides Bucharest and Bacau that you know, I've been to Cluj, Turda, Sighisoara and all the places in between, touring by car :)

Haven't been to Cluj, heard it's awesome. Sighisoara is a breathtaking though. Well, you've only been to Bacau in Moldova, and it's the odd one out. That area of the country is poorer and dirtier in general, Bacau and Piatra Neamt are the wierd clean rich cities in the area :p

Cluj is amazing... I actually liked it more than Sighisoara - not in beauty (I guess) but in energy and vibe, because it is a bigger city. Haven't been to Piatra Neamt yet but a very good friend of mine who lives here in cph, she's from there so I'm sure I'll visit at some point :) But yeah, from all the cities I've seen, I think I like Cluj the best. Also, an outsider (that unfortunately we only passed by and didn't really stay) that I really reaaaally liked was Medias!!! :D

Haven't been to Medias either. I've heard good things about Cluj, but I'm certain it is much more lively than Sighisoara. It being chill is the reason I like it, along with the mountainous setting in an old medieval city :)
And yeah, Piatra Neamt and Bacau are the odd ones out. Ask @creutzy. And I'm sure you'll like Piatra Neamt, also chic, chill city by the mountainside, but with a more lively vibe.
