I believe you know that the significant part of the territory of the Netherlands is below sea level. Particularly the level of the lowest place is equal almost 7 meters below sea.
However, all these areas remain habitable due to a complex system of canals, locks and dams constructed in the Netherlands for centuries.
All country is covered by canal network and my photoshoot is about water system of Utrecht.
The Vecht River and Lekkanaal Canal are the main waterways of the City which is one of the biggest in the Netherlands. Together with smaller canals, tributaries and locks they create strong water system and very peaceful and romantic atmosphere as you can see now.
