I am surprised there are so many towns named public footpath, ROFLOL!
That is too bizarre! What kind of a fool would even put in a sign like this? At least name the footpaths a, b, c,...Then the sign would help a little.
If the signs were numbered, and placed on the map, then you have something that would help.

Some prankster probably moved them for fun. The idiot bureaucrats are usually good at pointing out the obvious, LOL! Here they run numbered markers (like S-12) for the 12 mile point on the South trail, and the maps reflect that.
This thing should be dug up, or added to the map as "Stupid sign", LOL!
