We were traveling (and working) with my wife and daughter (4) in Asia, Europe, and South America since 2017 living a digital nomad lifestyle with a family base where we always returned to not get lost on the planet.
As this can be very inspiring and teaching (and un-teaching) you a lot of things, we encountered the same challenges over and over again: At first, my wife is looking for accommodation and a flight (or train) to the destination, a good coworking space for me, a bicycle, scooter, or car, and a sim card for our smartphones. In my opinion, this is already a very time-consuming process and could be optimized. From my experience, DIY travel booking apps take far more time than using a traditional travel agency in the old days. (btw. my Bavarian travel agency closed about 20 years ago and the owner became a Catholic priest.)
The second most important question always is concerning my 4-year-old daughter: What kind of interesting things can be done for her there? Any educational workshops, elephant feeding, archery, or beach for sand playing and dripping castles? Where are the best playgrounds, where can my (almost) trilingual daughter find other kids to play with who speak English, Russian, or German?
Are there Condos, Hotels with "Kids-Club" or even child care around? Very time-consuming questions and I need to work in such a way that projects are getting done without delay and clients are satisfied.
I was wondering if there wouldn't be a solution where local people can help "newcomers" (digital nomads, business travelers, and classic tourists) with all these questions and even earn money with it.
I'd like to find a possibility to pay for a personal travel assistant or consultant who helps me with all of this. I'd be open to booking packages in advance which contain coworking space, accommodation, airport pickup, and a sim card as I've been experiencing it with Coworking Bansko (Bulgaria 2018)
So now, how to do that if it doesn't really exist? Can we create a DAO for that? How would you do that? What is your opinion on that?
In Part 2) you will be either reading about technical peer-to-peer software architecture which I had in mind or about the pitch deck and business concept I am working on at the moment.
I'd like to take you on this journey to create a DAO to make improvements in our lives. Please let me know if you are interested and please comment, if you'd prefer to read about the technical architecture or the business case first.
