Konark Temple the ancient patterns of India

in travel •  7 years ago

10 June 2017 I visited this temple. After crossing the gate a bunch of guide team started to force myself to get hired by me, they were so forceful but good enough. This thing putted me into confused situation about whom to hire and whom to refuse. Finally a guide was good enough to convince me haha.
The guide I've hired knows my language too that was quiet impressive for me.

This temples every structure were made of rock and mud. And many of the statues showing sexuality, I didn't get the thing actually. I was so obsessed to know the real history. The only question was running in my head why is this Konark temple is so famous. But whatever this temple is so cool and a great touch of architecture is here in every structure which impressed my eyes a lot. Then I asked my guide to figure out the real reason behind the temple then he slowly started to reply that, After the war of Kolingo people started to get depression because a lot of people died in that war. Those who survived lost their inner peace. That's why they had no attention in their normal life, there were not interested to have a family, children, work, overall to bring them back in normal life some people started to carving the wall with this kind of statues. And everything starts from here.
Approximately 11 thousand people worked 13 years to make the temple, I don't know it is a rumor or not. Though if you don't take a closer look of the temple you won't get how brilliant it is and looks so hard to make.
There is a saying that, Sri-Krishna's son Shomuv were suffering from Leprosy and to cure him self he reached at the shore of Chondravaga river for prayer. After 14 years of nursing he was cured by Chandravaga river's salty water, sun's gleam and neem's air.
There was a powerful king who planted a powerful magnet to distract the ships of the sea. Then at 60s the portugues traders broke the magnet some parts of the temple were broken too as a result.
There is also a saying that, In 50s a clan of goons named kalapahar has attacked on the temple and damaged few parts. Kalapahar was Bengali sultan suleman's commander. Then the shurjodeb's statue was taken away from there.

The temple was named after the combination of ken and ork. Ken means angle and ork means the sun. Some people call this Konark Sun Temple.
Sun's light here can fail clocks time here. There is a stucture showing 7 horses pulling a chariot two side of the chariot there are 12 wheels each side in total of 24 wheels. First 12 means about the 12 month and other 12 means the zodiac sign. In each wheel there are 7 spoke to mean 7 days of a week. And 8 stick to run the car means the 8th morning.

This temple reveals a lot of activities of real life of people at that time. Showing daily life systems and works. Specially sex appeals. Few are romantic too showing different angels of kissing and sexuality. It is a great place to visit. Its not a thing that bad people actually rumor about its a tradition of our old generation. They were very artistic and genuine. Very very very beautiful and interesting place.
