Part 1: The Blind King And The Great War : A True Life Story

Onces upon a time in Orlu Village..................this is a true life story, this incedent happened about many years ago in the ancestral town of Orlu a local government in Imo State.

A very quiet town hardly any thing goes down here and goes unkowns, it is said that nothing is hidden under the sun 💥 in this village.

With a first class Monarchy and very organised place.It is said that you can not date or marry a lady from two villages away from your location because it is believed they were born from the same great grand father and it is a taboo to befriend a male or female in the same village.

The Current King then His Royal Highness Odumegwu udemba Kingsley was an old king,the king was in his last days on earth,and looks very frail and old,he was 112 years old and had a son prince Odumegwu Udemba Ogwugwa was 44 years old then.The Queen Onome Odemugwu had an issue with conception in her early days as a youth and was not able to concieve untill in her early fourties and eventually when a child came after a lot of sercrifice to the god'swhich include both animals and humans slave, most often palace helps .

So the queen finally concieved and had a son, "a blind Son" the boy remained blind all through his adolescent age,he was always cooped up in the palace and the boy often hear hear other kids play but wasn't allowed to play with them due to the stigma of his condition .

The king felt embarrassed by his son's blindness and often beseech the god's and at least you see different cartgories and types of native doctors or herbalists coming from far and wide for consultation and weekly checkup, but none failed to restore the prince🤴 Eye sight, the and kings patience's was running out.

The truth is a blind king can not rule the Orlu kingdom , Orlu comprises of 12 big villages with 16 hamlets, it is said that many years ago, other kings run to the Orlu kingdom⛰️🏞️🏕️ to seek Refuge in time of war, famine and drought.Orlu was a rich region with able bodied Men who can farm a land of many hecters🌿🌿🍁🌵🍎🍏🍐🍑🍈🍉🍆🥕🌽🥦 they are known to be strong and agile,they professionals in harvesting 🎏 fishes in the rivers that sourround the kingdom like a barricade in tine of war .An Orlu Man can swim far distance without getting fatigued and can run for many kilometres without getting tired ,their women are also very strong and great dancers with acrobatic muscles.

Putting this in mind the king thought how can a blind 🤴 prince ascend the throne, the people of Orlu will never accept and respect him, how can a king own a vast land and beautiful landscape when he can't even see the beauty he lords over,how can a king oversee his subjects when he can't see what's Infront of him,a people with pride and arrogance will not allow his blind sun to last more than three 🌒 moons on the throne,he was deep in thought and something must be done as soon as possible

An average Orlu Man is strong and heavily built , he is strong and has pride some other tribes often say they are Arrogant set of people due to their physique and carriage.

They have a fun filled night 🌔🌑life🌛🌧️🌨️even when it rains 🌩️they must have their fun.It is believed that a sick person who is critically ill is taken to the deep forest away from the village so as not to infect the villagers with grief and sadness.This goes to show that Orlu people are happy people, as most often they organise wristling matches with other villages and non have beaten them in any contest .
