Hey guys,
I've been wanting to be more productive with my time and I came to the conclusion that I'd possibly hit three birds with one stone by using the steemit platform (I honestly only slightly understand it atm.) I figured I'd be able to write (more), explore and share myself in a way that brings value to people, and (hopefully) get "rewarded" enough that I can keep on doing this experiment.
So I guess I should just skip the boring personal details (that nobody really cares about) and tell you how this adventure started and how its been so far.
Now, I know living in a van probably isn't a new idea to you (especially if you live in a US,EUR,AUS) and I wouldnt blame you for asking "Why the Philippines?" - it's an archipelago of over 7,000 islands. Vans don't do well underwater (at least mine doesnt.) Most people take some negative sentiment on the issue of security in the Philippines (Hey, our president is killing people involved with drugs) so why wouldn't they? Any normal and functioning member of society probably would've taken those two reasons and dropped this selfish and pleasure seeking dream of living by the beaches that those 7,000 islands have and all the ecological and cultural diversity that they'd have to offer, right? Like you (maybe), I was too focused on the "hell yes, I'm gonna do this!" than the "what if insert problem happens?" I figured I live in this amazing country and I have an opportunity to live a life around the beauty that I'm surrounded by.
Fast forward to 2 years later, I'm (pretty much) broke but feeling as content as I've ever been in my life. Life on the road has been nothing short of stunning and I wouldn't change anything even if I had the chance to (except maybe bought some bitcoin 3 years ago)
