Beginning:
Ibn Battuta said, “Travel will make you speechless first, then force you to tell stories. This traveler was right. And today I will tell everyone about such a silent tourist spot. I'm talking about Sagarkanya Kuakata. If you give him a foothold, you will not even think for once, yah! Maybe I made a mistake. I would rather think, when will I come again! In fact, Sagarkanya of Patuakhali district has been named after the beauty of Kuakata beach. The frenzy of a young woman in extreme weather, her silence in a calm nature, her newfound beauty in the spring at the base of a coastal tree, her rudrarupa in winter - are the manifestations of the character of a mysterious mermaid. And this is where the success of its naming is fulfilled.
Why Kuakata Ananya:
Why Kuakata Ananya, at first sight you can say without hesitation that you will make Kuakata your own. Because Kuakata is one of the few tourist spots in Bangladesh where there are still countless tourist spots where you can still get close to nature. Here nature has not kept any stinginess and has enhanced its beauty. Kuakata has largely perfected the seawater, coastal mangrove forests, small awakened islands, red crab hutuputis, animal sanctuaries, Rakhine and local lifestyles. Kuakata has its own colors, traditions and culture that set it apart from other areas. Also the most interesting thing is that Kuakatai is the only beach in the country where both sunrise and sunset can be seen.
Location:
Kuakata is located in Latachapali union of Mahipur police station of Kalapara upazila in Patuakhali district of Barisal division. Its distance from Barisal by road is 108 km and from Dhaka it is about 360 km. History suggests that the Arkans came to live in the region after being expelled from Burma by the Mughal rulers in the 16th century. They dug a well to fill the shortage of pure drinking water here, hence the name Kuakata.
Let's turn to Tuktak Kuakatah:
The main spot of the beach is "Zero Point". This is where your bus will stop and you will also find hotels and catering restaurants. All you have to do is spend a day touring the main sights of Kuakata. However, if you want to know about a new place, to feel the people and nature deeply, try to stay in that place for at least 2/3 or more. This will also give you time to wander around. It is best to get around Kuakata if you rent a local motorcycle. Divya will be able to visit 12-15 spots for 600/700 rupees in one day. It will also save time and energy. Arrive and fix the motorcycle. You will see lots of motorcycle riders in the vicinity of Zero Point or your hotel. First see the target sunrise. So wake up 1 hour before sunrise. Go to Gangamati Char on a motorcycle. Gangamati Char is basically an island. It is a matter of good fortune for anyone to see the sunrise in the midst of inaccessible and vast lands. As well as Keora, Garan forests will fascinate you. You will also find a small 2/1 shop there for breakfast. You will get Hilsa-Khichuri. On the way back you will see hundreds of red crabs hooting on the beach. As soon as they see you, they will enter the hole with great satisfaction. This is the Red Crab Island, one of the biggest attractions of Kuakata. After that you will go to Mistripara Buddhist Temple. There is a Buddhist monastery in Misripara, the abode of the Rakhine tribes, about eight kilometers east of Kuakata beach, where there is a Buddha statue. It is rumored to be the largest Buddhist statue in the subcontinent. On the way you will see Kuakatara 'Kuya'. The ancient well is near a Buddhist monastery at Keranipara near the beach. During the Mughal period, the Arakanese migrated here and dug this well to make up for the lack of potable water. In front of the ancient well is the Seema Buddhist Monastery, where there is a meditative Buddha statue made of octahedron weighing thirty-seven manas. Keranipara is after Seema Buddhist Monastery. It is a village of indigenous Rakhine. Rakhine hand-made sheets, Punjabis, saris, salwar-kameez, daily necessities, gifts and much more are available here. Purchasing something from here, Barti will undoubtedly add joy to your trip. Which will forever remain as a memory of the Kuakata trip. I will not remember when these spots will go around at 12 o'clock. After lunch at sea, have lunch at a local hotel. Take a short rest and go out at 2 o'clock on the west side of the beach. Come and visit the hilsa village, if you wish you can have lunch here with fresh hilsa, in the hilsa sanctuary. The coastal beauty on this side of the beach is but a bit different in nature. After half an hour you will reach the "mouth of the three rivers", the mouth of the Andharamanik river here. The sea on one side, it merges with the mouth of the river, the coastal Fatra forest on the other side of the river - all in all, the place is eye-catching. If you get a chance, rent a trawler from here and visit the Fatra forest on the other side. The trees of this forest are a bit yellowish-green in color, and the path through the forest has gone deep into the forest. Impossibly beautiful! It is the second largest mangrove forest in Bangladesh. Numerous species of plants including gewa, keora, sundari, golpata and various animals and birds including monkeys and pigs. Will invite you here.
You can walk through the forest to the sea. Barbecue can be done by camping here at night if desired.
On the way back from Fatara forest, you have to go down to Lemur Char.
The nature here will give you different hospitality.
There are innumerable small and big trees like Keora trees and tree roots in the char here.
Next to it is a vast Zhaoban.
Here you will find some hotels where they will cook and barbecue a variety of fresh fish from the sea.
Be a witness with the setting sun!
Because this is where you will see the sunset.
When the sun disappears with the last trace of redness in the western sky, you too will return to Zero Point, your destination.
At night you can visit the surrounding area, Rakhine market, Shutkipalli- etc.
There are also Narikel Kunj, Srimangal Buddhist Temple, 200 year old boat of Kuakata Museum, Zhaoban, Alipur Port and many other places of interest.
