Alright so we're not actually rock climbing even though that is something I want to do more of...something I would like to learn.
Fontainebleau is famous for being the perfect spot for training. It has a high concentration of great boulders which gives climbers (from beginner to expert) the opportunity to train hard or just have fun.
We did not go for the hardcore training, just had a fun hike and played like little kids on the rocks and even came across this bonsai!
I used to come into this magical forest when I was little, maybe once a month... It is something the people south of Paris do. It's a nice family outing, my dad used to go every Sunday with his family as a youngster.
I remember how fascinating it was being small, walking in between these great big boulders, jumping around them and playing hide and seek. The most intriguing thing for me was the ground... fine grey-ish white sand and I would imagine a time when the area was covered by the oceans, dreaming of what kind of sea creatures roamed around (When you live around Paris, the beaches and the oceans seem so far away!).
Sorry it's fuzzy... but you see the sand there?
It's a place to explore, a place to put on a bucket list If that's the kind of thing you do...It is on my list of best places in the world to visit!
