Every place changes with time. They change culturally and physically. What if we could compare the two phases old and new at the same time. Dubai has an answer to it “Dubai Frame”. It is a rectangular giant frame which is 150 metres high and 93 metres wide. The two towers are connected by a bridge which has a glass panel offering you a 360 degree view. It can be reached by lift upto 44th floor. From there through glass floor you can actually see down, the roads, flyovers, cars like tiny insects crawling. Believe me it took some time for me to gather courage to stand on that glass floor.
One can clearly see the difference how much has changed with time. From one side of the glass wall you can see New Dubai, the developed part of the city, from the other side you can see Old Dubai which has its own charm with two-three storied building, the roof top of one building touching the roof top of another building.
Dubai Frame for sure is a proud structure which has been erected amidst the tall buildings.

Gold souk in Bur Dubai( old Dubai) is another attraction which must be visited , even if you don’t intend to buy anything. It was a beautiful market which had a charm of old city. Though I didn’t buy any thing ( I must say my Husband is lucky 😏that I am not a great fan of gold jewellery), but it was a good experience to see around 300 shops of gold and jewellery. There was a spice market too. We visited this place in the evening. There was lot of hustle bustle as it was time for Iftaar. People in traditional Kandula/abaya could be seen on this part of Dubai more commonly. I loved this place because of the heritage it carries as I believe development is important but we should not forget our roots.
