Our Last Day in Paradise

in travel •  7 years ago

Hi there steemians,
Although I was dead tired. Early in the morning I got our stuff ready just to make sure nothing got left behind of our personal belongings. After we had a good breakfast at hidden dream restaurant I decided to take a dip at the beach since we still had few hours left before our tour guide picked us up. I thought that we would make most of our time enjoying the paradise island of Panglao since we wouldn’t be experiencing this view everyday back home.

This would be the usual scenario at the beach in the morning since most of the adults were island hopping. Most kids and care takers were left behind to enjoy swimming in the shallow area. The locals here are very friendly and hospitable. If they stared at you with a smile and you responded back then your conversation may never end especially if it’s an elderly woman. Well, that is only based on my experience.

We spent about an hour under the scorching heat of the sun just enough for me to get really brown which I don’t mind as long as I’m not getting sun burned which is painful. The sunblock I was using helps me a lot. Our stay has ended and we needed to get ready now for sure. Actually our ship would depart from Tagbilaran at around 7pm but our driver needed to pick us up at 12 noon so we still had enough time in Tagbilaran City to roam around. Anyway, only my partner @ivantorres got his ticket. My ticket was under reservation because I didn’t have my I.D the other day when we tried to purchase both tickets. We needed to stop at Trans Asia ticketing office to get my ticket later on with my I’d.

While we were at the car, we were discussing where to go for lunch and the driver suggested Gerarda’s Family Restaurant. According to the locals and Tripadvisor this restaurant is highly recommended. So here we come! the man in uniform took out our luggage and assisted us to inside. The place looks like an old renovated house and the inside is very elegant. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. He spoke English well and had a chit chat with my partner.

They even have a ramp for disabled guest/customers.

We chose the table on the corner which looked more comfortable and cozy for us. While looking at the menu the waiter Stood beside the table to help us with our order. He also explained how our order would be prepared and that he would accept special instructions if we wanted to add any...My partner gave a wowww!!

I got chilli 🌶 grabs which was deliciously great 👍. I ate with bare hands...lol. The crabs were very meaty and we loved the spiciness....awesome!
