LOOK NO HANDS! MAGNETIC CARTS and FLAT ESCALATORS in MEXICO?!?

in travel •  7 years ago

So we are down here in Mazatlan and shopping at Soriana’s, which is a LARGE store the similar to most Walmarts in the States and their escalator is MAGNETIC!

We were blown away as we entered and took a shopping cart on the first level only to proceed up to the second level on a flat escalator.

We looked around and followed the lead of the people in front of us and sure enough, we were to push our electric cart onto the flat escalator to proceed upstairs!

Once on the escalator, the wheels DID NOT move!

I was nervous to go down the escalator with a FULL cart after shopping, but full, heavy or not, this cart was not budging!

In conclusion, I am absolutely blown away at how gorgeous the shop Soriana’s was. Good for Mexico to have such a trendy, up-to-date store!

It was definitely an experience!

Now we just have to figure out how to get all our bags home....

from an Uber to a boat

boat to our quad

and...from our Quad to our RV!

Hahaha, thats funny! The very same thing always happens to me in our (Mexican) Walmart and Mega and I always thought the cart was just stuck in the little grooves :D I never realized it was magnetic force. I feel a bit stupid now but thanks for telling me anyway :D

Don’t worry...it was my 8 year old who pointed it out...I also had no clue!
