We knew we had to start our time in Osaka with the Glico running man sign and decided to go for crabs at Kanidoraku. We were a party of 4 with appetites for 12 and wasted no time in ordering the greatest looking crab set meant for 12. It turned out to be one of the best seafood meals I've ever had in life.
We were shopping for a bit so when we got in I saw crab sake and ordered that instantly with drinks all around. The first couple rounds of dishes came in the form of sashimi crabs and steamed crabs of various kinds of crabs. This appetizer stages were done to perfection and to our satisfaction as we saw more single dishes come out like tempura vegetables.
An assortment of crab sushi and a couple more sashimi crab dishes to closed the appetizer round.
The main course had large crab legs we all boiled at the table together and merrily drank attempting to know how we could all benefit eating healthy in Japan. A few more dishes of assorted crabs came for us to boil and just when I thought we were finished, the server had one more surprise. She came over and made soup from the left over broth from the cooked crabs.
You can imagine the bold full delicious flavor of the broth being made into soup with an egg and rice. The end result was a crab porridge style soup that soothed my soul as well took my stomach to maximum capacity.
