Hi Steemit Friends
I love to travel .When talking about traveling especially abroad, the first thing that may come to your mind is money. That person must have a lot of money to travel around the world every year. But the truth is, you don't have to. You just have to know the tips and tricks. And the most important, the willingness to get out of your comfort zone, your home sweet home. And in return get the benefits out of it.
It's not just about the fun and the experience, traveling offers you much more than that. Want to know more? Okay, let's get started.
Become a better planner
Planning can sometimes be cumbersome. Where to stay? Which places to visit, and which you can skip. How's the weather there? What kind of clothing to pack? Should you bring some food with you? How are the public facilities? And the questions can go on and on. But actually, it's fun. As you find out more, you get to know the culture, people and common things in the city or country you want to visit. Prepare yourself beforehand, rather than experiencing culture shock and spoil your mood. The good side is the more you travel, the better planner you become.
Become a highly adaptive person
As one saying says, if you enter a cow barn you have to moo, and if you enter a duck coop you have to quack. The message is, where ever you go, respect the culture and lifestyle of the locals. Learn to understand them and adapt as much as you can. They'll love you for that. It makes you more flexible and more easy going person. This includes improving your social and communication skills. In getting around places, you communicate and make friends with foreigners. It's fun, and builds your self-confidence too.
Become more open-minded and creative
Experiencing new things in life is invaluable. It opens up your mind to new possibilities and gets you out of being normal. Sometimes we have to get out from our routines and do something extraordinary. Traveling gets you out of your comfort zone and give you opportunities to try new things. You'll learn a lot and be more creative.
Become More Perseverance
In traveling, there is always uncertainty and unpredictable event. In facing them, your real values inside you will reveal themselves. Whether you're an impatient, or panicky or selfish person, it will show out. And most often you'll get to know the consequences of having such values there and then. You'll learn what are good and bad values as you meet more people and experience more situations. It increases your self-awareness and makes you more persevere. It's a life lesson that will make you a better person inside out.
Build up a lifetime memories
Being in places where you experience different weather, culture, lifestyle, environment, laws, and scenery, is a precious lifetime experience. The friendship, the photos, the things you collected, are all the things that you'll look back to cherish your past. They are inspirations in creating a better future. Something that you can't get from your home. It's a lifetime memory.
Therefore, if you have the thought of traveling, don't wait. Start creating the opportunity now. Find ways to make it happen. Life is short so live it to the fullest.
I hope You enjoy this post guys
I always deeply appreciate your comments, upvotes and share.
Much Love, Suzana

WOW! very well said Suzana! you are 100% right about this, because from time to time whenever we are stepping on an another territory we must learn how to obey the rules and be deligient enough on respecting them. And this way is called Blending in. Your blog is os inspiring! Keep it up!

Check this out. It documents the time I went to visit my then girlfriend's family in Kalasin.
I was pretty blown away by their way of life. I remember loaning a kid my iPhone 4 to play Angry Birds and he just couldn't put it down.
Truly, travel to absorb the culture and you'll go home with something new. I agree with you that you don't need to be rich. You just need to go to the right places for the right lessons.

As an occasional low-budget traveler I cannot agree more on some of your points. The experiences and memories I got from places I didn't expect is definitely one of the best parts of cheap traveling. So many people are helpful if you open up just a bit and respect their culture.

Some good tips here, especially for planning! I've travelled a fair amount and definitely the times where I have spent more money are the ones where I have left the booking to the last minute. Although this can have it's benefits too - especially when travelling solo, you meet great people and want to continue travelling with them, but if you have already booked a place, you either have to leave your newly made friends or suffer the loss of the money you've paid for the next train/hostel/hotel or whatever it may be. I normally suggest booking a few months in advance of the first location you're travelling to, and if you're flexible with time to then book on the go with 3-4 nights in advance!

@suerisue, I liked a lot this post! "You should travel more" is my favorite sentence when I listen the "home sweet home" people complaining about life! I think some people are so addicted to their comfort zones that they simply can not imagine themselves outside it.
Well, I also write about trips. I invite you to read my travelogues, if you liked then become my follower. Following you.

Travelling is a huge bonus for everyone regardless of your career background and interests!
However, many of us here tend to turn down opportunities to travel around the world mainly due to financial constraints. Perhaps, blogging about travelling is one of the many ways we can leverage on to fund our future travels?
@suerisue Do you think travel blogging is the best way to fund our trips abroad?

Travelling is definitely the best thing. Some great tips for the future travels. I would add that organisation and doing enough research about your service providers will take a lot of the stress out of travelling and help you do more instead of google more while you are away....
