A day in Lowther castle

in travel •  7 years ago

A little gem in Cumbria is this Castle, family house of the Lowther family, Earls of Lonsdale. We spent a day in here in the exhibition, the ruins, the garden, and the play area, the hidden castle.

Here are some pictures that I took of this gorgeous place.

On our way to the Castle, built around 18th century by the 1st viscount of Lonsdale.

Not much left of the castle, but worth exploring the ruins.

Off to the garden, but, catch another beautiful view of the castle first.20170812_144656_5.jpg

Walk through the garden or enjoy the lush green lawn.
