Travel With @susanne - Remote Working at a Castle in Stockholm, Sweden

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

I was not sad when I had to go back to Stockholm for the second time in one month.
The food, the people, the islands and the atmosphere is really amazing.

This time I was in Stockholm because the company I work for had a kickoff. This kickoff was held at a castle on a teeny tiny island called Kastellholmen, in Stockholm city. The view from the castle was unreal!

Every time we had lunch or dinner, we had to walk down the hill from the hastle and go aboard a small ship that had docked next to the castle.

I had to juggle working for this company and my own company while I was there. But I stayed at a very nice hotel and had a really good hotel room and was able to set up a comfortable office there. I also worked from the castle for some time, and at coffee shops.

I work remotely for this Swedish company, from Norway. It's super nice to go there once in a while to meet with my coworkers. Some of them also work from other countries, and we don't get to meet very often. In my team, we are actually all spread out in different countries. The only one located in Sweden is the team manager.

Working remotely is the bomb! I've previously written a post about some of the challenges I face when it comes to remote working, but all in all, there are more benefits than challenges.

And once again I ate my way through the city. I can't get over the food. It will get its very own post, because it desevers it.

Susanne

I see I'll have to revisit Stockholm again soon :p
The one, and so far only, time that I've been there we had too much to do! Should probably just go there for a week when all I want to do is steem and do some work on our side-project, and just work from whatever place seems inviting ^^

At least now I know who to ask for advise as to where to go ;)

Yes! You should! It is such a great place. You should set aside a couple of days for just exploring (or eating, like I did.)

Or both!
I most certainly will :) but so many places on my current travel list damnit!

this city on a very beautiful island.

I think he is talking about the island where the castle was located, Kastellholmen :)

Who wouldn't want to stay a castle at least once? Beautiful view, for sure.

But my favorite pic was of your meal! That is a beautiful looking dish. Hope there's some info about it in an upcoming post... Cheers!

So true!
Yes, I decided to do a post about just the food! :) This was a poke bowl with raw salmon from a food court near the office. Delicious!

I'll bet! The edamame and avocado just make that dish pop.

OK. No more discussion about the food. Wait for the post! lol

What kind of work do you do for the Swedish company?
And looking forward to your next blog regarding the food.

Thanks! I've been incognito for 10 days, at least on Steemit :)

I do social media, translations and communication for them!
That blog is already out! I'm super efficient when I just sit down and do stuff. Ha ha!

Ahh...my cousin are a translator.

So they live in Bergen, Trondheim, Oslo, Stavanger and Tromsø.
