Since Sinaloa, Mexico is considered a "Level 4," a status supposedly only given to places with high levels of homicide, carjackings, kidnapping, and other terrible things, we were a little uneasy going to Los Mochis, Mexico. Would this finally be the dangerous, life-threatening Mexico everyone had warned us about? Would this be the end of our journey?
Find out how safe Sinaloa, Mexico really is in our latest video below. Make sure you watch all the way to the end so you can see our Siberian Husky, Laska's crazy freak out as we get to our next destination, Culiacán.

The place actually looks too peaceful. I wonderin why they put it in Level 4 status. But you still have to be safe there.

Thanks for your comment @dunkman! That was definitely our impression! We both think it might have some ulterior motives behind it (as government always does). However, it's certainly possible that the warnings are founded. Who knows? All we can do is share our impressions and experience and those both tell us that as long as we're not looking for trouble, we don't find it. And isn't that true of basically every place?

Sometimes travel advisories are exaggerated. They generalize certain place or country. We're experiencing it every now and then here in the Philippines.

So true! Often, people are inclined to form beliefs based on the opinions of others, but who's to say those other people have the most accurate perspective? I'm sure the government has their reasons for issuing this warning, but they could also have ulterior motives for convincing people not to travel there. Who really knows?
Thanks for your thoughtful comment @sn0white!

Hey there @iramarsela! Welcome to Steemit. From our experience, the best way to get followers and upvotes is to engage with the community. One way you can do that is by writing thoughtful comments after reading another user's post. It really helps build relationships.
I think you should consider writing a unique comment on each post you read rather than copy/pasting the same comment asking for upvotes. It's spammy and doesn't come across as genuine.
Hope this helps! :)
