Wat Phra That Chom Ping is famous for the appearance of the shadow of Chedi.
This phenomenon occurs in only 3 temples in Thailand and Wat Phra That Chomping is the one among them.
The golden yellow Phra That Chedi enshrines the relics of Lord Buddha.
To the west of the Chedi is an ancient "Ubosot" in magnificent Lanna architecture. Inside the Ubosot, you will experience the amazing "shadow of Chedi" which is turned upside down.
There is a small hole in the window of the Ubosot that light can pass through, causing the shadow of Chedi to appear on the floor all the time when there is light.
Wat Phra That Chomping is an ancient temple as I told you in my old posts. Apart from this amazing shadow of Chedi, the temple also displays various antiques that were discovered in this area.
In addition, the architecture and sculptures in the temple are awesome.
I would like to recommend you to visit Wat Phra That Chomping, if you visit the North of Thailand someday.
