After visiting Wat Chulabhorn Wanaram, you may want something to drink or eat or buy back home, there is a small local market which is located in the parking area parallel to the impressive bamboo tunnel.
This local market is just a small market in the open air, but looks nice among the wonderful nature.
The atmosphere is good and refreshing.
Most shops were simply built with wood or bamboo which is environmentally friendly.
The local market sells everything from fresh local vegetables, fresh fruits, bamboo shoots, snacks, Thai desserts, drinks, and ice cream, etc.
It’s unfortunate that I visited there on the weekdays, so there were only a few shops opening. (it’s normally crowded with many people on weekends.)
In the meantime, I luckily can buy “Thong Muan” which is a kind of Thai snack with cigar-shaped form. Or it looks like a crispy wafer in a roll.
The vendor made the “Thong Muan” freshly from the stove.
It’s incredibly delicious!
I can say that visiting Wat Chulabhorn Wanaram and this local market was an experience I will long remember…
