Mae Klang Waterfall, Doi Inthanon, Thailand

in travel •  7 years ago

This is a dry season image, during rainy season, Mae Klang is much wider. The jungle over-runs the waterfall during the dry season but the foliage is swept away when the rains come. If one looks center frame far left, more of the falls are visible.

Mae klang is Thailand's second largest waterfall, it is located on Doi Inthanon, Thailand's tallest mountain. There are 7 major waterfalls in the Doi Inthanon National Park, including Mae Ya, Thailand's largest which drops 750' and is 1200 feet wide. The park is south of Chiang Mai, its about a 75 minute drive.
