Traveling with Kids and Cooking with an Air Fryer!

Cooking with kids with an Air Fryer while traveling, oh my! We recently took a trip to Panama as a possible 'semi-permanent' move. Scary and Exciting all at the same time. One of the biggest things traveling with kids as many of you know is that they A.L.W.A.Y.S. are H.U.N.G.R.Y!!!!!! Since we were going to be away from home for an extended period of time, home cooked meals in a full blown kitchen with every kitchen gadget you can think of (seriously!) eating well on a budget was just not possible. I wanted to make sure the little one as well as myself and my husband were able to get nutritious meals on a regular without paying premium restaurant prices 3x a day (at least)!

So what did I do?? I packed my Air Fryer! This new contraption that I have fallen in love with has a special place in my heart now. Yes, it went in the suitcase along with my shorts, shirts, shoes, and personal items. I was certainly worried the suitcase would exceed the 50 pounds and I'd have to carry on an extra sweater or something, but I just made it.

I'm so glad we brought it with us because the first day we arrived we certainly ate out - and we ate a lot! It can be expensive traveling and eating at restaurants all the time. I quickly found some Convenience stores (Chinitos as the locals call them) close by as well as a regular grocery store...thank goodness!

We picked up some Chicken Wings and BBQ Sauce and made some non-greasy air-fried Chicken Wings. We've done them a few times now and perfected them with a little Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Salt & Pepper and it's so easy even a 7 year can do it (with me).
