GLASTONBURY UK

I recently passed through Glastonbury, I love this town, it's full of cute shops with a spiritual vibe, artwork, crystal shops, essential oils, vegan cafes etc. The town has connection to the legends of King Arthur and Guinevere and more speculative legends about Joseph of Arimathea and the Holy Grail. There are two springs in this town called the white spring and the red spring, everytime I go I fill up as many bottles as I can to take back.

The White Spring reservoir was set up in 1872 to combat a cholera epidemic. It has a high concentration of calcium carbonate.

As for the Red Spring, it was given to the town as a gift in 1919
. Due to it's high concentration of iron it is tinted red.
There are many legends around this spring
" The red tint in the water is said to represent, at the very least, the rust of the nails used in Christ's crucifixion. The further extensions to the legends of Joseph of Arimathea have him depositing some of those nails and the two cruets with the blood and sweat of Christ down the Chalice Well, and some say that the red tint is literally from that rust and blood. The idea is that the cruets are down in the spring, and maybe the Grail itself. "

I have shared my recent visit and one I made summer before last, thats why there is a dramatic chnage from blonde to brown. I will share a few more places I have visited around the uk in future for people that might want to see a snap shot of what goes on here :) so for now welcome to Glastonbury UK.
