'No Vehicles Allowed!'

crta.png

This street used to be a red-light area a century ago but for a long time now, it is the place to go for a couple of drinks. It is full of people looking for fun, food and refreshments, especially in the evenings. It has a certain charm, one must feel to appreciate it.

This whole area is closed for traffic and surveillance is on the watch for trespassers. Check out the camera system. It is set very low. Anyone can touch it. Funny. What's more, why would a street with no traffic need traffic signs pointing both directions? :D

The city bought and installed one on both ends of the street, so an employee can press a button to remove massive posts blocking the entrance when a whitelisted vehicle shows up. Who wouldn't love to be paid for such a job?

This is how it looks when the posts are down. Even though the system is quite sophisticated, I wonder if it was made up to waste public money or save it? There was no simpler solution to regulate a single street than to install all this and employ people to press a button on top of that? :D

It is so when a political party needs to create loads of virtually useless jobs just to make sure people vote for them. However, in this country, it doesn't matter if it is reds or blues who run the place. The strategies are the same, the tactics all alike. They are all good friends among themselves, comedians making sure people are having hard times. I've been watching the show for too long to bother. The sky is so dark, nice and dramatic ;)

Enjoy your day! :-)

These posts look strange to me but definitely they had somethig in their mind so that's why they made them.

Talking about the redlighth area past ago just reminded me of my last year's Singapore visit where we visited Gaylang which is the red light area of the Singapore but now they are trying to improve it and educate people.

Sometime It is good to walk around @velimir my friend ;)

Super

by the way nice sharing. congratulations my dear friend!
The Party certainly has a way or strategy in winning election contestation or elections. Peter Schroder, incorporated political strategy as a strategy or a way to realize political ideals. Political strategy becomes important only for political parties and government, but also for non-political parties.

In another perspective, political strategy is defined as a set of ways that various political forces may wish to power both contest and elections.

The strategy used to win the heart and gain the sympathy of voters. The concept of rigor before performing a strategy for a specific purpose is necessary. This is done to identify strengths and weaknesses, both from yourself and from the other side. The purpose of this strategy is to determine the steps to take action. The steps taken in the strategy are the implementation of the mission carried.

It can be formulated that the instrument used as a political strategy in the elections is through communication. One of the political strategies in elections or pilkada is the campaign strategy. A campaign strategy is a special form of political strategy.

This guy "with the button" has a good job. What kind of person should do his job. Apparently this street is popular with locals and tourists. This fence is not cheap. Such a system is used to protect important objects. Probably the authorities of Zagreb really are concerned about the safety on this street. (joke).

I agree that in most cases it does not matter which party is in power. All this show to the audience in which the faces of actors change but their role does not change. Power sits high but it is there only because of those who are below - the common people. Therefore, the creation of jobs (albeit useless jobs about which you are telling there) is a smart step. This is better than not giving people jobs and forcing the unemployed to pay taxes :)

Good day:)

I can certainly understand the need for a system of blocking the street AND allowing access for deliveries and medical emergencies. I can even understand the rationale of having a person there to man the system (boots on the ground, with instant feedback). My question is how much freedom and expression do we give up for the feeling of safety?

In this country the answer is a lot. Doesn't matter red or blue, 'the security of the people' is paramount. The real winners here are the people that design, build and install such systems. The cost is significant.

Ahhhh. It's a beautiful distinct and you have shown it with your normal flair. I'm sure it's very safe, too.

Thanks for another wonderful post.

hehehe

Hola @velimir
Saludos

We have a street like that in Ottawa. It has been completely closed to vehicle traffic. There are lots of shops and patios and shopping. Many special events take place there as well. Two of my favourites are the Busker Festival and the Ribs Fest!

@velimir, Thank you for your another great post . I feel this place reading your post and seeing your beautiful photography. Thank @velimir for your continuous worthy post . Keep it up .

Nice post also :)

Wao I see I am looking for these sort of streets. The reason is that you can freely focus on the areas, shops and the contents these shops and malls have. Literally, I have faced many troubles while walking across street by facing bicyclist and other small vehicles

A very beautiful and truly beautiful image that shows the heritage of a wonderful people
Good choice, my dear friend
