I've been told that the Georgians are a stubbornly defiant people with a unique, distinguished culture. I've also been told that they are trying to move towards a society more integrated within a European framework, and away from Russian, Turkish, Armenian, and Azerbaijani influences. My experience so far has shown this to be true, and that makes Georgia a very special place indeed.
