A campground on grand isle is $20 per night, and apparently open in January.

Ammon was off shore and we had no idea for how long.

Architects rarely seek photographers between thanksgiving and tax day. We consider christmas to valentines as mandatory annual vacation time.

It was maybe January 3, businesses would be soon coming back to life.

When we shot these, we had no idea we were going to land a giant project on our next business day. I would have been way more at ease with that little bit of knowledge.

Over here in real life, northern California is nearly over this crazy heat wave. Its been 111 for three days (40C for our Canadian viewer) and I'm going to try and spend my time in the hole. I have a project I should be doing, but its Sunday, and I've only had it since Friday. So I can afford to mess around with photos from very saturated hard drives. In reality we have about 12 terabytes of files and it just keeps growing. I need greatest hits folders. Our screensavers are just so random but I sense some great viewing opportunities in there somehow.

Originally when I saw one of Jeff Berwick's links, I thought we suddenly could finance our travels with steemit, I thought we were a lock for the top tier. Saw crypto conferences in SF, but zeros. Then I thought, well, I need to reach out to others and try and find friends and together we'll boost each other into the elites. And now I think the whole money thing is more controlled than merit based. So I'm going to write whatever I want and not try and gain some kind of politically correct social strata because I doubt the cash is ever going to be extractable by me anyway.

I had a blog before and it was super commercial. It was about products and sales and it was pretty fun because we were cutting some pretty good ground and we had some pretty good view counts. So far I haven't offered this link to any of our clients, and doubt I ever will. I like the idea of dumping random memories and organizing them later, I like the idea of being able to talk about the patterns among the peoples of different regions. I want to say what I really think about women in California.

So I'm trying to figure out how to approach this Grand Isle dilemma. We've got our selections down to 100 images, but no one needs 100 images in a post. Nor do we need 10 posts on the subject either. We were only here for a couple days, but there are a few things that need to be revealed. And we haven't even looked at our phone photography. There are another 10 000 images there that have never been explored or processed or posted or really even viewed. But I remember some photographs of Grand Isle that need to be included and are certainly not in the folders I've been rooting through.

So I've decided to break it down into three posts. One about beaches, one about buildings, and one about people. We may need an adder later if I dig out the phone photos.
