[Travel Blog] Day 0 - Getting Ready For Departure

in travel •  7 years ago  (edited)

I managed to secure myself a set of new flight tickets after my last order was unexpectedly cancelled on me. This time I booked my ticket with Qatar Airways. I had to pay a bit more to travel with them, but I got shorter flight times and departure on the day I wanted. My flight leaves from Oslo airport already tomorrow morning! I will be transiting in Doha, Qatar before continuing my flight towards Goa, India.

When I arrive In India I will be heading to the north of Goa to an area close to Arambol. There I will be meeting up with my friend @umulius that I will be travelling together with. She already arrived in Goa last weekend, and have already found a nice place for us to stay for the first few days.

From there on we will be travelling down towards the south of Goa. We have also been planning an excursion to the Hampi ruins; a UNESCO world heritage site. I will also make sure to check out a few different psytrance parties and festivals while I am there!

I am travelling light for once with only my laptop, phone, chargers and one extra set of clothing besides what I am wearing on departure. If I end up needing more clothes or other items I will just get them in India.

From the looks of it, Qatar Airways will be providing me with WIFI on the flight. My next update will most likely be from high above the skies. Stay tuned for more!

Sweet! I loved Goa. However, I was there in the monsoon season, so not much sun really. Still lovely beaches and food. I wish you a nice trip!

I wish you a lot of wonderful moments on your journey! May everyday be full of laughter, divine moments, insights in your own soul and memories you never want to forget :) <3
I would love to travel to Goa soon! Bring your beautiful vibes there dear @xtetrahedron :)
I am sure Goa is happy to have you there!
Best wishes and Namasté!

I am excited to read more of your travel adventures! :)

Hugs!

Thank you @endorphoenix, I'm looking forward to discovering Goa together with all of you awesome Steemians! ^_^

Hi @xtetrahedron
Have a safe flight, looking forward to read your blog posts from your trip.
Cheers, @erlendgroseth

Thank you @erlendgroseth!

I will try to post daily. One of the first missions I have once I arrive in Goa will be to fix a 3g sim card. I have already heard from several friends that the internet connections down there is generally choppy and bad. 3g is supposed to be okay and affordable though :)

(BTW: feel free to comment in Norwegian on my posts if you want. I both speak and write Norwegian, I just made a choice to write mostly in English here on Steemit to have a broader reach.)

Hei,
Kos deg i varmen!

Sounds great @xtetrahedron Keep us posted on your travels! Don't get lost in Goa and forget to come back. Qatar Airways is truly spectacular by the way.

Getting lost and stuck in Goa would not be the worst...
Looking forward to checking out Qatar Airways, I have heard a lot of good stuff about them!
I will keep blogging daily while traveling! :)

Glad to hear your got that issue with the canceled tickets worked out. The 'fun' of traveling, right? hehe. Can't wait to see your posts when you hit the ground! :)

Was worried there for a while when the flights got cancelled, but luckily it worked out. It seems like it might even have been an upgrade to switch over to Qatar Airways compared to the older flights I had =)

Sometimes that's how it works :) Other times...well, let's not think about those, lol. I've found the best thing is always keep a good attitude. The universe seems to respond to that.

I agree, also I have this recurring theme where it almost seems like the universe is testing me to see how much I really want to do things. If I am committed enough to my goal it usually works out.

Persistance and attitude are key. I remember many times being in some 3rd world Asian country having to deal with situations that most people can't even imagine, hehe.

Would love to read a post about one of those situations from you sometime. If you ever decide to write it up (or already have somewhere) make sure to send it to me!

Hehe, will do!

good job...
