in prep mode for the off today, early starts tomorrow too, planes and trains!

It started like one of those seminal perfect sunday mornings where you know the rest of the day was gonna build and build up, I made the perfect fluffy eggs for breakfast and cracked open a fresh big pot of coffee, the coffee that I know will keep me cranked full open for the months ahead, the removal of the side straps like a starter gun to productivity.

It’s mild today, rain is expected and we have an open day to go to for tea and cakes. I’m seriously hoping they don’t fuck with the breakfast there because that’s the only reason for me to go there!

[11:10] well we just got back from a lovely walk around the nearby forest part around here, it was nice to get some fresh air and crush some steps, I’m certainly going to be doing that more next week, think it will give me a good time to think and compact my thoughts a little.

kinda in a holding pattern now, dayle has packed and she’s semi ready for the off and it was super cool to have shopped for supplies yesterday together and had a final meal at the pizza place we just found last week, I’m surely gonna be going there with bella.

it’s gonna be weird this week to pick bella up from school alone — but I’m gonna hustle my face off to maintain our daily comms together once dayle is stateside as really you are only a fibre connection away.

I think in the short term it’s gonna be useful for both of us to really establish what we both want to do in the medium term, we have been discussing a bunch of ideas in the last few days about ways to sustain ourselves and building in backups and redundancy, two of my favourite things to do!

We have transport booked and snacks for later on at the hotel, we think staying over the night before is a lot easier if your local to the airport it makes that whole travel thing just so much easier to do if you are right there.

then I’ll probably hang around in brum for breakfast until after the trains are after peak times and then grab a bus home, my travelling is a little easier, then I’ll crash and sleep until dayle gets home and try and sync with her flying schedule.

i’ve got this weird sense of ‘focusing up’ on me at the moment, feels like the old days where I had to make sure I had all the bases covered picking up Ella, making sure I had funds for the weekends and train schedules and potentially having to get buses when the trains were not running.

feels like it’s on me again and nothing more to motivate you than taking stock of your situation, I feel daily vlog videos are gonna be interesting on @dtube in the coming weeks so please I’d love for you to engage back on those.

I realise that it’s gonna feel all different for dayle when she get’s home but I think it will be nice for her to see family again. I know she will be safe and some of the plans we are working on should make us both more determined than ever to get back to each other — it’s great that we have web tools that can connect us so easily too.

Also in the uk this week is gonna be hot, perfect weather to crank the door, fire up the greenscreen and get chatting, making, pushing, connecting — I feel like the shitty weather is going and that I’ve got that workspace and mental space to do it, I can get up early and just wake some one up, just fire up eggs and coffee and get recording! — I’ve got so much to share and play with, especially with my new weekly (so far) monday calls, we could end up building some awesome stuff together.

I’m dying to try out the new @dlive encoder settings as well to see how that runs like and I’m in the process of saving some money for a super fast m2 solid state 250gb usb3 drive for recording in OBS — also, dayle has a PS4 now so can stream that to mixer! Maybe eventually I can join those two things together for some kind of split screen situation. play time! :)
