A Tree for Tree Tuesday

Sometimes, when I look at the carefully pruned pine trees in Japanese parks, with their odd, meandering shapes and their branches propped up and supported by wooden braces, I wonder if there isn't a list somewhere that holds the names of all the gardeners who have cared for them over the decades, and in some cases centuries, that they have stood where they stand.

Surely, somewhere, in this land of records, there must be such a list. And if there is, then I wonder, too, if there isn't a sketch of some kind, a blueprint if you will, that was drawn many years ago and is still referrenced now, generations later, by modern gardeners when manicuring these trees.
