What to do with a not so good photo

Play with it
It's Alaska, it's winter, it's cold. not all pictures are going to come out how we want or how we expect. The original of this was over exposed, and even though it was a color picture due to the sky, (overcast), and the lighting,(kind of bright and flat, because of the overcast), and the snow, well it is winter in Alaska, it looked more like a faded black and white photo.

Like I said it was pretty much a washout of a photo, I think I sort of rescued it and brought it some life, what do you think?
I actually like both of them! Fun edits!

Fun edit of the trees. I like the mauve color as it looks like the tree blossomed.
