Beautiful and mesmerizing. Interesting facts: The cultivation of Bonsai is nearly 2000 years old. Today, there are some specimens over 1,000 years old! The Japanese version are tightly pruned to maintain the natural shape of the tree, while Chinese version is more freeform. Bonsai are the only trees that are not planted so that we can eat their fruit, use their wood or to replant forests. Their function is aesthetic, existing primarily for beauty and relaxation.
