So I’m facing the new challenge of getting the word out about what I’m doing. But I’m imposing some limits on what social media to use. One I won’t connect this to my personal facebook. Just before the Cambridge thing I was already starting to step away from FB, that just solidified it for me. I don’t post on there anymore. I do use the DM to keep in contact with people. I was debating about Instagram (I stop posting there too), I use Twitter instead.
Even though it’s centralized and they can censor what you say. It’s a necessary evil I can deal with compared to what youtube does. I’ve been getting some followings but half the time I have no idea why. Plus there are the bots which I recently learned about. Not sure who is real or a robot, lol n smh. My leaving the job post was my biggest thing so far. I hope my projects start to pick up steam. It will be interesting to see where things are in a year. I have to keep in mind the goal is to become a recognized voice in the Space not to be famous. This tool and others, when used accordingly, will help.
