Most people think perception and perspective are interchangeable words. But they are not. There is a difference.
As demonstrated in the question, is the glass half empty or full? Perception is based on how information is framed; limited information focused on how much water you see.
Perception takes into account more than just what is presentes to us. Combining experience and knowledge, we can see beyond the limits of the presented information, i.e. the water.
I bring this up because of something that happened with my client, when trying to reach out to a noted company in the space.
The company rejected connecting after what was pleasant start. At the time we couldn't figure out why. But when recent news of their new project went public. We understood why.
The takeaway is our perception of the rejection was wrong; thinking something was wrong with our product.
Having that experience and the new information, broadened our perspective and validated our product has a added value to the space. It also encouraged us to keep going.
So what P are you understanding?
