The initial characteristic symptom in people with Parkinson's disease that is commonly known to the public is the appearance of tremors or shaking. However, not all people with Parkinson's suffer from tremors. And not everyone who experiences tremors becomes a Parkinson's patient. However, the cause of the disruption of these nerve cells is not known for sure. Thus, there is no surefire way to prevent Parkinson's disease. However, you can still reduce your chances of developing Parkinson's by avoiding various risk factors. There is no cure for Parkinson's disease, but medication can control the symptoms. In some cases, surgery may be recommended for people with Parkinson's. Your doctor may also recommend lifestyle changes, especially aerobic exercise. For the initial symptoms, doctors will usually prescribe drugs to be consumed by people with Parkinson's. Amantadine is a drug used to treat Parkinson's disease and influenza A. Some of these drugs work to increase or replace dopamine that the body needs. The drugs that are usually given include levodopa, anticholinergics, dopamine agonists, and MAO-B inhibitors. In addition there are also alternative therapies. Therapy of Parkinson's disease can use pharmacological therapy or non-pharmacological therapy. Pharmacological therapy can use levodopa, monoamine oxidase-b inhibitors, dopamine agonists, anticholinergics and amantadine, while non-pharmacological therapy can use stem cell therapy methods.
