MinnowBooster Rejects Delegation from @trevonjb AKA Trevon James and Trevon Responds...

in trevonjb •  7 years ago  (edited)

I saw a post by @berniesanders where he goes on to say:

"I had a convo with a team member from @minnowbooster who has agreed to stop paying rewards to known scammer @trevonjb for his delegation."

In the comments section @reggaemuffin who is a part of the MinnowBooster project responded by saying:

We already banned him from buying upvotes, but we can't send his delegation back. The blockchain and the automation we have don't make it easy to react to such events.
Btw sure his delegation is big but it is like 5% of everything I think, maybe even less. Not all things are immediately a scam and a conspiracy.

Trevon himself then responded to the whole thing by saying:

I'm not a scammer. Just because everyone thinks I'm a scammer doesn't mean that I am one for a fact. The FACT is that I did videos talking about Bitconnect with a large audience and the government interfered and made them end the lending. That doesn't make me a scammer. It means the goverment is shit. Everyone who was using Bitconnect was happy.

This post is absurd...you're just taking screenshots (that anyone can already see) and reposting them? FFS, try a little harder man...

Personally i think it's a lot more than that, it is also food for thought depending on how you look at it, though perhaps you're right about trying a little harder, it seems to have people engaging though...

Well, what is your opinion on the topic?

I really want to stay neutral on the whole thing tbh but i do see some similarities between the whales on here and a central bank that gets to decide who has what (if that makes sense) which waters down the whole decentralised nature of crypto which was what first attracted me here, however this is how the platform has been built and we all have a choice to opt in/out.

So your ok with allowing Ponzi promoters to have a voice and rope in more victims? You are right it is decentralized, and that's why we can't kick him off, but that doesn't mean it is unpoliced and lawless. It is up to the community to make their own laws of what is acceptable and allowed.

Unfortunately, most take your stance of remaining neutral and keeping their head in the sand as it protects their wallet.

I'm not going to say i disagree with it as i think ultimately people should take responsibility for themselves, as for having my head in the sand you're probably right, as for "community" i somewhat agree with the use of this word but i see more of a hierarchy. But that's just my opinion....

might be interested in looking at the link you provided had you identified that you were posting an affiliate link. Not good etiquette.

With a name like that how can i not listen lol
You're probably right though i will keep that in mind

Ok i won't use it anymore.

Or just add a little text telling people it's a ref link, that's okay too.
