I appreciate that respect for children is at the foundation of your vision for change. The sentiment of honoring children is so often repeated that it sometimes sounds almost trite to my ears, yet it's rare to see true respect for children and for childhood.
Fred Rogers embodied this in the way he brought meaningful dialogue to children and addressed their fears seriously, while encouraging their imaginations. I see a similar thread in your vision for a traveling show, with its messages of hope, respect, and empowerment in confronting real world issues.
Wishing you many blessings and the continued realization of your dream! :)
That is exactly the problem, so many talk about it and that is all, all that talk, just so that some actually believe it already exists or they are just sick of hearing about it. Children come to us full of awe and natural awareness and inner wisdom and that is taken from them when they watch t.v, go to school, when they engage with the majority of adults that they meet.
I do not know who Fred Rogers is, I do know that when children are allowed to be children, when they grow naturally they have no need for adults to bring any dialogue to them, it is such a shame that this is where we are at, adults having to show children how to be children. reminding them what it is to be present and mindful, reminding them what it is to be aware and connected with their natural world. Because they have had all of this already. This is something that greatly needs to be undone. Imagine the future we would have if it was. This is how change will happen, where it has to happen. We need to go back in order to move forward xx Thank you for your blessings xx
