It is the beginning of yet another beautiful week here on Steemit and I am delighted to share with you all the 'Hidden Gems' I have found, that have been written by some of the authors on TribeSteemUp. One of my aims coming onto Steemit was to write articles that empower people and promote awareness and each of these articles do exactly that.
I have 10 articles to share with you all. These articles have inspired me and motivated me to be more pro active in creating change, both in my life and in the wider community. For me life is all about learning, evolving and being mindful in all that we do. We are all so unique in how we think and how we live our lives. By coming together and engaging with one another we can all share our wisdom and empower one another. Please take the time to read each of these 10 articles and to show your appreciation by upvoting and commenting.
The TribeSteemUp project, was created 10 months ago by @kennyskitchen. It is a Community Abundance Generator which supports authors who write articles that look at ways in which we can become more empowered and create a more peaceful and free world.The authors that are supported are writing content of high quality, which are based on the following topics:
| Community Empowerment | Love | Original Music | Esotericism |
| Healthy Recipes | Psychedelics | Truth | Permaculture |
The following articles, are all based on some of the above topics, so take the time to read them and remember to follow those, whose articles you have enjoyed, that way you will not miss out on any of their future work. And remember to check out #tribesteemup for more quality content.
Totems and Power Animals - Government is Religion Part 3 (video)
@paradise-paradox
It's easy to look back at fallen civilisations and think that their beliefs in gods were just superstitions or myths. But what can their beliefs teach us about what we believe? Tribes of the past believed in totems and power animals. Today, we believe in nations such as the USA, its flag, and the bald eagle, and we talk about nations as if they have agency. Are we still living under totemic religions without knowing it?
That Which We Repeat: ❤Mantra and the Unstruck Sound Melting My Heart
@riverflows
Both yoga and neuroscience understand that the things we oft repeat are incredibly powerful.
It is the understandings of science that make me appreciate the value of mantra or repeated sound as part of the wider yoga experience. Whilst part of me appreciates and cleaves to the beauty of sound and the way my tongue wraps around sanskrit, the stories of gods and goddesses behind the mantras, the narrative power, the musicality - I would never have been drawn to mantra if there wasn't a kind of logic behind it.
“Live Free or Die” - NH | Wellness For How To Minimize Violence
@burntmd
Im willing to stand up and say
“I believe
knowing how to
positively deal
with our negative emotions
is What we can address in order to
minimize violence”
Understanding Many of us are blessed to experience positive reinforcement for Expressing ourselves through caring actions.
THIS is one place we have an impact!
What is an activist?
When does an activist apply morals?
Is an activist just someone who pickets at a protest or can an activist be someone who helps an elder with packages because its easier for them?
I am solution based.
I value self Expression!
No Speech is Free Unless All Speech is Free
@ lesliestarrohara
It seems like a lot of people have forgotten this fact (or failed to learn it in the first place).
I think a refresher course is in order.
Most modern people would agree that this thing called "free speech" is an imperative component of a civilized society. They believe (rightly) that freedom of speech is a human right. They also believe (wrongly) that only overtly totalitarian governments deny this right to citizens. The problem is that most modern people fail to understand that this right to speak freely must apply to every person and every idea, or else free speech is a farce, and no speech is truly protected.
King, Warrior, Magician, Lover, Reflecting on Masculinity in the Modern Age
@makinstuff
Good evening my fellow brothers and sisters of tribe Steemit, my constant intention here is to share my curiosity of this universe, and personal journey of growth with you all.
I believe we are just visitors to this time/place, and we are powerful creatures capable of both physical/spiritual abundance.
Part of my Journey over the past few years has been to look at myself, and ask what it truly means to be a man. I've sought the answer to this question, because I felt that lack of masculine understanding growing up in this age. I've had several positive male role models in my life, but have felt internally, like something has been lacking in myself as an adult male.
Embracing Womanhood, The Spirit Of Bringing Life Into The World~Day 3 Gratitude & Positivity
@holisticmom
Woman, daughter, mother, grandmother.
We are the life bearers, our wombs are magical instruments where life begins. This human experience, this mammalian evolution that allows us to grow life inside of our bodies. Much like nature, the seed is planted in the dark. The seed sparks to life, begins to grow toward the light until it pushes through the soil to spread its leaves. The act of pregnancy is much the same. The seed is planted, sparks to life and grows until it is big enough to enter the light via the birth canal, the channel from where new life pushes through to the light. We have been given the task of providing the gift of life.
“What does Anarchy mean to you?” - @tribesteemup bi-weekly question
@whatamidoing
I spent most of my youth convinced by media and its misuse of the word, as well as the self-proclaimed anarchists that I met that anarchy meant destruction. The freedom to do whatever the hell you want, no rules whatsoever. This made little sense to me, not the part about no rules, “no rules” sounded great. But if everyone is doing whatever they want, what happens when there are conflicting interests.
Much later I become well acquainted with a sort of intentional community which had loosely formed out of a group of likeminded individuals during the Occupy movement.
the wilderness inside
@mountainjewel
Out on a run just now, I veered off to wander to the edge of the subdivision where the homes weren’t finished and where there was a vast expanse of graded dirt ready for suburban expansion.
I suppose I was drawn to the edge, that particular space in time where one ecosystem transitions into another. Because I studied ecosystem management in university, I read edges like shoppers understand mall layout and I knew this particular edge was the meeting of graded suburban landscape and rural farm land still being cultivated.
Between the two was a 25 ft tall tree line that successively grew out into shrub layer then the weedy plants that covered the earth up until the latest graded dirt.
Steemit Cancer Free Road Trip Journal #1 Asheville/Savannah
@johnvibes
As many of you know, I spent the past three years stuck at home, and in and out of hospitals dealing with cancer. During the time I was sick, I missed out on a lot, vacations, speaking engagements, opportunities, so in the midst of my struggle I began planning a trip with my wife Kali, plotting out a few drivable destinations within the US that we would like to visit. I was hoping to take this trip last year, but complications with fluid building up in my chest kept me bedridden for another year. In that time, I began learning how to post and interact on steemit, and after a while, I began to set aside steem for the trip.
Voluntaryism On Steemit - How @JamesC Empowers The TribeSteemUp Community
@flauwy
The @tribesteemup community from @kennyskitchen is a success story that could have only happen like this on the amazing Steem blockchain. It proves the concept of Steem as well as the idea of voluntaryism in a masterful way: by empowering hundreds of people to continue create powerful and world changing content with their passion and love while earning a basic income through daily upvotes on their posts.
On Steemit dreams come true. One year ago @kennyskitchen had the dream to create a Steem trail that supports, connects and inspires to work towards a more peaceful, harmonious and loving world. The first year this tribe was small and lacked the Steem Power to enfold its true potential. And then Anarchapulco 2018 happened where many of the tribe members attended.
What a great set of articles... I loved reading every one of them! Thanks for your hard work 💙😘
