Dale Pendell is the human tongue for so many plants that humans have had complex relations with. As a researcher/scientist/poet, he has a unique perspective. @Riverflows did a great job weaving with his words and you can read his whole Salvia Chapter from his book Pharmako/poeia here. I have probably read it hundreds of times for I traveled with Salvia for about a year in my 20s and his book was a resource to me.
First things first, through writing this I'm not suggesting, condoning or encouraging the use of Salvia divinorum. It is illegal in most states of the US due to an outbreak of YouTube videos that scared lawmakers into thinking Salvia is the new LSD that will make countless youth do stupid things like jump out of windows.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking again with Chance at the @innerverse podcast and this time we covered the whistleblower series that I have had running on Steem for the last couple of years. It's such a huge subject, this is really only part 1...
There are so many important and often professional whistleblowers from many fields that go totally unreported on (blacked out) in mainstream media, that I feel this is one of the most essential topics for people to get up to speed with. Many speakers explain from direct experience how, for example, the pharmaceutical industries primarily operate through fraud, bribery and deception and how the military and government are responsible for a great many of the crimes that they blame on terrorists.

This morning, I had some philosophy with my coffee. To be more precise, I listened to a 30 minute Alan Watts talk that was suggested to me by the allknowing video platform that does not need to be named.
As is usually the case with Alan Watts' talks, there was so much wisdom being conveyed that I'm not even gonna try to summarize it. One topic that stuck with me though was the theme of clinging to things and people, a habit that often leads to unhappiness. It made me wonder what I'm clinging to and I realized there isn't much I can think of these days.

One of the most persistent ideas that continue to manifest on our planet is that violence is physical and most of it is justifiable. If there is one big lesson that I've learned in my life is that those two ideas are false. When we start working on learning the Pacem Arts (The Art of Peace), it demands that we replace some of our old core beliefs with new paradigms. That process can be very disruptive, especially for those who are unable or unwilling to do that work. Those people will have a tendency to bang heads with those who are making the shift.

For some reason, over the past couple of decades especially, the political/mainstream conversation in America went from many decades of striving to move more towards a more equal & racism-free culture to becoming more hyper-charged with racism than ever before.
It seems that for some time from the 60s forward, what led the movement in culture was the message of Dr. Martin Luther King, the message of humanism, the message of equality, the message of no longer seeing race:

“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.”

No matter how many you have, if you don't store them properly, they will do you no good in the future.
Take the Svalbard Global Seed Vault that just reached over one-million seeds in its vault back in February of 2018. Located on a Norwegian island (remote Arctic Svalbard archipelago) just south of the North Pole, the seed vault has only been open for 11 years... can you believe that!

I love this photo i took recently of a Baba in the mountains of Rishikesh. A group of us walked to the cave temple where this baba lives with his spiritual brothers. He is a Shiva devotee, and comes from a tradition of renunciation of the material world. He lives a pure spiritual life and has only the money the people donate to him.
We visited for a few hours, and enjoyed the energies of his Ashram in a very special cave very much. When we went to say hello to him we all sat down and they all chatted away about this and that in Hindi. These daily routines have been going on for a very long time, and it was interesting to watch how everyone related to him, and what reverence my group leaders gave to him.

Has my 15 year long amazon.com boycott changed rapacious & exploitative online retail behaviour? Errr... no. Neither has my decades-long Nestle boycott. And yet they continue. Because as as consumer I KNOW my most political act is how I spend my money. I KNOW that every purchase is a vote for the kind of world I choose to leave behind to my daughter, her generation and the ones who follow. I choose to believe that my personal acts have energetic power and are FELT by the greater conscious world. And I don't want to have "She Was Part Of The Problem" as my epitaph.
And so this week I have added to the list of things I actively choose not to buy. Thai wild mushrooms. เห็ดถอบ Hed Thorb, to be exact.

Session with psychologist won't help you. Psychology only focuses on the mind, and mind is the number 1 reason of depression. It might make you feel temporary better, but in the long run it will push you deeper in illusion.

Whether they were placed deliberately or just by synchromysticism, we probably never know. But keep in mind, that the elite use Astrology, Alchemy, Numerology and Gematria to calculate long ahead and place their devious plans right into energetically beneficial situations, like certain dates, with certain distances to related dates, specific names, carrying the vibration of the symbolism they want to invoke.

We got another break from the rain and today was a nice sunny day! Couldn't pass up the opportunity to enjoy this day in the garden - prepping beds, planting, making compost, planting trees, prop work in the greenhouse... so much to do and it's all fun!

Getting to a Better Place in My Head

So the last time I came off antidepressants as I wanted to feel again and was tired of feeling numb. I ended my marriage 2 months later.
That was just over two years ago and I underwent counseling
But in retrospect, the 6 weeks wasn’t enough. I did numerous courses on mindfulness and stress control, but they all flew out of my brain a long time ago.
But the knowledge that people all had different back stories and went through all the same emotions was of great comfort.
This last year I can only say that I have gone backward. I get out occasionally and meet up with a couple of friends for coffee.
