Home Depot and Lowes said they were to "phase out" neonicotinoid plants and insecticides by 2018, known as "neonics". But have they? No. Go to your local store and ask them!

"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe, then man would have only four years of life left. No more bees, no more pollination, no more plants, no more animals, no more man.”

Albert Einstein

I was very unaware of this and I was actually about to go to Home Depot to buy some filler plants for my borders. I’m so glad I found this. Thank you so much!

Wow!!! Amazing!!! Reason being that this is a follow up post to one I wrote in 2016 when I worked at Home Depot and found out about this... I was just going through old posts for inspiration and decided to look into whether they phased them out or not... the majority of sources say they just changed the wording on their plants rather than phasing them out. The neonicitinoids actually are in the sap of the plant - designed to contain its own pesticide- causes colony collapse... very short-sited science
