Apparently here in Ireland the word "Freshman," was banned by Ireland's top university "Trinity College". They have argued that the term "Freshman isn't gender natural, I am not sure if this is amusing or what, what do you all think?
It was stated a young female student sent an email to have it banned so it doesn't upset other females, i find this is a great thing but is it a correct thing is the question? I mean its a word that's been used for many years.
It's rather bizarre to me because they have agreed have the board to change the word "Freshman", to "Fresh". It rather amused me, is this an "Only In Ireland Thing"?
Personally, I think it's right. Being called “freshman" while being a lady wouldn't go down well with most feminists. They also changed “women" to “womyn" so, changing “freshman" to “fresh" isn't really a bad idea. Although, it actually sounds weird but they'll get used to it, I guess 😂
