Trippy Thursday - interFaces (design doodles part 8)

Here we have the first incarnation of the singularity. It grew out of a glitch between a censorship algorithm, an ond landline phone and an early edition ipod. Each of these elements was in a programmer's hoarded technology heap when a thunderstorm shot ball lightning into the Winnebago the programmer lived in. Fortunately only a face emerged for the ai to control. For now it can only use early 90s insults to intimidate people into trying to build a body for it.

Here is a googly eye that fell off a haunted doll. Typically the pupil would be hellfire red but since it got detached from the body it has become duller by the minute. Now all it can do is hope @qwerrie puts it onto a pipe somewhere in Russia so it can haunt the gaslines. This might result in fireball demon creatures emerging from people's gas stoves.

Here is trackball technology from another dimensional timeline where laser mice have never been invented. Industrial designers focused solely on improving wire attached trackball designs. Sadly in this dimension people all develop carpal tunnel, thus a red light indicator turns on after an hour's usage causing the trackball to no longer work. At this pace no one can develop better technology like laser mice or touchscreens.

Here is a futuristic volume knob for audiophiles. By tweaking the knobs in just the right way new frequencies can be created causing hallucinations for the listener. The interface had to be kept very minimal as more colorful design caused users to OD on various frequencies when combined with too many colors. MAFC (moms against frequencies and colors) marched daily in the streets demanding the government raise their kids for them and enact strict guidelines on frequencies in music and minimal tones of colors. This design only allows for minimal colors and tones to be listened to, but in the abandoned warehouses kids are frequency dosing late into the night... happy #trippythursday
