Reflecting on using absente absinthe

So today was interesting, bedsides walking around in freezing cold temps, in lite snowy conditions, through a few towns, and getting a headache as a result, I managed to concoct an absinthe drink, out of absente ‘absinthe refined’; one of the original absinthe liqueurs from the early 1900’s. The smell of Licorice, or peppermint and spices/herbs from the liquor permeated my apartment, creating this aura of anticipation of some ‘high’ that might be achieved from my drink.
After the fact, now several hours after my last drink, feeling alert and being sensitive to lights, in a cool way, here I am awake at 2am, drinking coffee. Was the attempt successful? Well, there were times just lying in bed, half asleep, and eventually fell asleep, where I experienced some pretty wild/intense dreams, the dreams being more lucid and intense, fast dreams, like watching a movie on 1.5x playback speed.
I only consumed about 2.5 drinks, the second being heavier than 1st, and unable to finish the last, which I ended up drinking before falling asleep, around 10:30pm and waking at 2am lol, at times my body felt rigid and tightened up, don’t know if that’s from walking in cold or the absinthe or both, but I think this experience marks the beginning of many future ‘trips’ to come.
Ideally under more favorable circumstances, ie: without the headaches, and walking in cold snowy weather lol, anyway maybe you can go on some absinthe induced trips yourself!

Just an additional picture of my absinthe bottle, yes there’s more absinthe, like 75% of the bottle left,
The only bottles I found yesterday at the liquor store were 750ml bottles, prices at $40 and up, this particular bottle being $40, thanks again for reading!
