After the run in Yugawara on Sunday, I went to Kinomiya Jinja in Atami.
Atami used to be popular with old people. Its a costal town with many hot springs, and a nice seafront.
Recently the town has become really popular with young people, theres a beach and many fireworks by the sea, and another place that has become really popular, thanks to Instagram is Kinomiya Shrine.
Its a shrine for couples to be lucky in love. Theres a huge really old tree which, if you walk around it, you will have a longer life, or something....
I went there 10 years ago for the first time, there were not many people there compared to now, and theres a trendy café. That shrine looks like it should be in Tokyo, the people, the café etc. Still a nice place to visit and its close to its own Station, called Kinomiya Station, very convenient.
