A very quick rant, then I'll go back to doing something useful.

I've been conversing with a particularly bone-headed Trump cultist who continues to claim the election was stolen. Every time I encourage her to read the various lawsuits to see what evidence (or lack thereof) was presented, and to see for herself just how nonsensical those suits were, I get the same response: "I don't have time to read, but I talk to people, so I know the real truth".

I've tried to discuss just one of those cases with her, the famous one where Trump proxy Sidney Powell tried to sue the State of to force them to turn over certain election records from the city of Detroit.

I asked my interlocutor point blank if she understood why that case was dismissed for lack of standing.

Her response was "one word, corruption".

A third of America is too dumb to walk around without adult supervision.

tl;dr: Claims of a stolen election are made only in front of the media, where it is legal to lie. The same lawyers have never made the same claims in front of a judge, where there are penalties for lying.

If there was really corruption and these lawyers were really patriots, they would take a risk to get the truth before a judge. Or at the very least, they would out-and-out slander the judges after dismissal, but they never do that.
