I haven't checked them all, but at least three have now pleaded guilty to committing crimes on his behalf: Michael Cohen, Kenneth Chesebro, and Sydney Powell.
My favorite plea so far is Sydney Powell's, because there was something about her that reminded me of my prior toxic boss, and I just personally despised the way she insisted - against clear-as-day reality - that she never made a claim she couldn't prove. I do hope she loses in Dominion Voting System' defamation suit against her as well.
In addition, Lin Wood, facing disbarment, surrendered his law license and retired. Rudy Giuliani faces defamation lawsuits from both Dominion and Smartmatic, lost a defamation suit by two Georgia election workers, had his law license suspended, faces a sexual assault law suit, and is a defendant in the Trump election fraud lawsuit in Georgia.
And one I really want to see go down, John Eastman, for abusing his position as a legal scholar to devise a scurrilous interpretation of the Electoral Count Act that would allow any President seeking re-election to overturn a free and fair election as long as he had some friendly state legislatures. He also dishonestly made a birtherist argument that Kamala Harris was not legally a natural born citizen, even though she was born in California. He faces criminal charges in Georgia and the threat of losing his law license in California. Amusingly, Trump rejected Eastman's request for payment for services, and despite his pretense that he was just making good legal arguments Eastman cravenly asked to be considered for a pardon.
I may have missed some, because there are so many lawyers and so many charges. Let me know if I have.
But one has to wonder at this point how Trump manages to persuade any lawyer to work for him. Surely they at least demand that the check clears first?
