This came up on my feed and after Trump addressed the UN today I thought I'd check out Abby Martin's account of what's going on in Israel. She outlines crimes that Israel has committed against the Palestinians along the west bank. How Zionist Israel has the west bank under military occupation with the support of the US as well as the UN. What's disturbing about her account is that she claims that no one is really aware of the situation over there and she's right. If this is true I for one had no idea and can't condone the occupation and slaughter of the Palestinians in the region.
I think more people need to become aware of this threat because Trump has publicly stated that he's pro Israel. If it's true that Israel is a pure ethnic state then we as the American people need clarification on what that means for America. I supported Trump for his stance on immigration reform. I believe we need to reform our immigration system but that doesn't mean that I'm anti immigrant. Our nation was founded by immigrants and we are straightened by them if they hold our values and want to integrate into our society legally.
I don't think we want to turn America into a military occupied territory. Where we engage in war crimes against people who don't have legal status here in the US. Should they be deported and from a cost perspective whats going to be cheaper? Also what solution best serves the interests of the American people in the long run? Hopefully my fellow Steemians will have some creative solutions to these very real problems that we face.
